Carlos Bernuy-Lopez
Expert in Renewable Hydrogen and Thought Leader at Ramboll
My journey started in 2005 with a PhD in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells. Since then, I’ve dedicated my career to advancing renewable hydrogen and tackling climate change through science and engineering — always with a special passion for Solid Oxide technologies.
Over the past two decades, my work has taken me across the UK, France, Denmark, Spain, Norway, Japan, and Sweden. Along the way, I’ve picked up new languages, welcomed a wonderful daughter, Elaia (half-French, born in Copenhagen), and married an amazing partner, Laura.
After more than 10 years in academia and since 2017 in industry, I now work at Ramboll, helping place sustainability at the heart of every project and narrative. I’m deeply convinced that through electrification and the smart use of green molecules where they matter most, we can achieve our climate goals.
