Allegra Hosford Scheirer, Ph.D., is a Principal at Geomodeling Solutions LLC, a consultancy firm specializing in basin modeling, petroleum system analysis as well as sustainable and unconventional resources. She holds a Ph.D. in Marine Geology and Geophysics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology/Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Joint Program in Oceanography. Scheirer has extensive experience as a Research Scientist at Stanford University and as a former Research Geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey. She is an expert in the Alaska North Slope region and has conducted groundbreaking work on unconventional resource potential, organic-rich source rocks, and petroleum systems modeling. Scheirer has authored numerous publications, organized conferences, and delivered invited talks worldwide on topics related to basin modeling, petroleum systems, and the energy transition.
